Hannah & Ross Maternity Session
At the end of January, right in the middle of Oklahoma winter, I met up with a couple expecting their first baby to do a photoshoot. I've known them for several years, and we even did a "Pokemon Go" double date before were all married! I was really excited to take their pictures.
However, I haven't been consistent with my people-photography, AND this was my first maternity session. I'd done tons of researching and planning during the days leading up to the session, but still couldn't shake that innate fear of doing something new. However, as the wise Christy Wright says: "Do it anyway, just do it scared."
So I did it scared!
I'd done some location scouting a few days before, and unfortunately, there aren't a lot of super photogenic places in Oklahoma during the winter, so "amber waves of grain" field it was! It was a quiet and secluded location, so we didn't have any interruptions and were able to knock the pictures out really quick so we could run off to warmer environments (I was dressed in 10 layers of clothing and was STILL cold, so I don't know how Hannah pulled it off, she was a CHAMP.)
Here are some of the photos of the session, I hope you enjoy!!
And of course, I can't do a photography session without some cute blooper pics! I'd like to credit the freezing Oklahoma wind and a sighting of "Bigfoot" for these!
I couldn't have asked for a better couple to be my experimental/first maternity photo session!!!
